In 2024, it will be opened on June 1 (Absinthe en f\u00eate) et November 2-3 (cultural weekend).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fees<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Individual entrance fee CHF 5.-\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Entrance fee including absinth tasting CHF 8.-, prohibited under age<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Free<\/strong> for accompanied children under 16.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Guided tours on booking CHF 50.- (from 10 to 15 people, duration 45 to 60 mn)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Free for <\/strong>members of the Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 des Amis du MRVT, holders of a Museums Pass, a Raiffeisen Card, AMS or ICOM.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The exhibition<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Discover and visit one of the last existing absinth drying barns of the Val-de-Travers. Built in 1893 by the Barrelet brothers from Boveresse, it was classified as a historical monument in1998, when the regional history and craft Museum Association bought it. The building has remained in its original form, without heating or insulation, and is therefore only open from early May to early October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The exhibition contains numerous items related to the cultivation and drying of the plants used for the production of the famous drink. There are also several farm and horse-drawn vehicles to discover.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A didactic program for visitors, in French, German and English, emphasizes the economic importance of the absinth plant in the region in 1900.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A garden with some of the plants used for the fabrication of absinth has been laid out around the building.
